The Orangeburg Part-Time Players is in rehearsal for the theatre group’s next production, Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap,” scheduled June 20-23 at the Bluebird Theatre on Russell Street.

The well-known show, directed by John Ott, is a murder mystery play that takes place at a Victorian era estate that has recently been converted into a guest house.

The cast includes, in order of appearance: Beth White as Mollie Ralston, the wife of Giles Ralston and owner of the guesthouse, Monkswell Manor,; Wesley Battle as Giles Ralston, co-host at the manor. Playing the role of guests at the manor are: Keith Smith as Christopher Wren, a nervous guest; Lisa Hawkins as Mrs. Boyle, who is stern and generally unpleasant; Terry Smith as Major Metcalf, a retired British military officer; Jessica Nuckolls as Miss Casewell, mysteriously aloof from the other guests; Tony DeAloia as Mr. Paravicini, an unexpected guest when his car is stuck in a snowbank during a terrible blizzard; and Coe Dantzler as Sergeant Trotter, who arrives late at the manor and is trying to establish a relationship between any of the guests and a murder already committed at another location.
