Latonya Durant, Keonia Gilliard and Johnnie Smith will also collaborate closely with the new principal of East Lake Elementary School.

This newly established school will merge the student bodies from Vance-Providence, St. James-Gaillard and Holly Hill Elementary. The new principal will lead the transition from three schools to one and serve as the leader once the school is completed – welcoming nearly 600 students.

“These appointments and transitions are critical to our district’s goals of fostering an environment where educational leaders can thrive and drive positive change. The movements at Clark and Howard, along with the setup for success at East Lake, are aligned with our mission to enhance educational outcomes for every student,” OCSD Superintendent Dr. Shawn Foster said.
