‘Walk-up Wednesday’ career fair to be Nov. 29
The Orangeburg County School District has announced an innovative hiring event, “Walk-Up Wednesday,” to take place at the Orangeburg County Conference Center on Nov. 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The career fair is not just an opportunity for potential employees to learn about the various positions available within the district, it’s a chance to walk away with a provisional contract of employment.
OCSD is offering a range of employment opportunities to enthusiastic individuals looking to make a difference in the community. Available positions include teaching roles across various subjects, custodial staff, bus drivers, and maintenance personnel, among others.
“We are not just offering jobs, we’re opening doors to meaningful careers in education and support services. Our ‘Walk-Up Wednesday’ is more than a career fair — it’s the first step towards becoming an integral part of a community dedicated to excellence in education. We encourage attendees to bring their passion for shaping futures, and we’ll provide the pathway to a rewarding career,” said Dr. Sharon F. Hampton, OCSD coordinator of retention and recruitment.
