Quai Stevenson has been named the new assistant principal of Vance-Providence Elementary School, the Orangeburg County School District announced Monday.
Stevenson previously served as the school counselor at Vance-Providence Elementary School.
“I am delighted to welcome Quai Stevenson as our new assistant principal. Her unwavering dedication to our school community and her extensive experience as a school counselor make her the perfect fit for this role. I have no doubt that Mrs. Stevenson will continue to inspire our students and staff to achieve greatness,” said Ms. LaTonya Durant, principal of Vance-Providence Elementary School.
Stevenson’s academic pursuits began at Newberry College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. She also holds a master’s degree in counseling education and master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, both from South Carolina State University.

Stevenson was an integral part of the inaugural cohort of the Orangeburg Leadership Academy, which is designed to cultivate exemplary leaders in the education sector.
