Four people died in a fiery, three-vehicle crash near Orangeburg on Tuesday morning, according to City of Orangeburg spokesperson Jennifer Van Cleave.
The crash occurred on Columbia Road between Waterspring Road and Twista Drive before 8 a.m.
At least one of the vehicles burned.
Detours have been set up and motorists have been asked to avoid Columbia Road near Waterspring Road. Both lanes of Columbia Road are blocked.
Responding agencies include Orangeburg Department of Public Safety firefighters, Orangeburg County Fire District, Orangeburg County Office of Emergency Services, S.C. Highway Patrol, Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office and Jamison Fire Department.
