After days of pre-Halloween festivities, the real night of ghosts, goblins and tummy aches begins Thursday.

The City of Orangeburg has set trick-or-treat hours in the city for 5 to 7 p.m. tonight.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office has set trick-or-treat hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween in unincorporated areas of the county.

Towns may have their own specific trick-or-treat times, which must be observed within their town limits, the sheriff’s office has noted.

The Orangeburg County Fire District will hold a trunk-or-treat from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at 131 Firefighter Lane in Orangeburg. Features include decorated emergency vehicles and fire safety info.

Also, a drive-thru trunk and treat will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at First Southern Methodist Church, 2456 Broughton St., Orangeburg.

Halloween happenings

The City of Bamberg has set the hours of 5 to 8 p.m. for trick-or-treating on Halloween.

The Town of Bowman will have a trunk-or-treat from 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween. For more information, call 803-829-2666.

Branchville

The Town of Branchville will hold a “junk-a-treat” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at Branch Junction. The event will feature candy and train rides on the Cal Smoak Special.

The Town of Cameron has set trick-or-treat hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween.

The Town of Cope trick-or-treat hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween.

A trunk-or-treat will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at Canaan United Methodist Church, 5650 Slab Landing Road, Cope.

The Town of Cordova trick-or-treat hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween.

Wesley Grove United Methodist Church, 515 Wesley Grove Road, Cordova will be hosting a community trunk or treat 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 Everyone is welcome.

The City of Denmark’s trick-or-treat hours are 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Halloween.

The Town of Ehrhardt’s trick-or-treat hours are 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

The Town of Elloree will hold a trunk-or-treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at Joe Miller Park, located at 6211 Main St. in Elloree. Call 803-387-9459 for more information.

Eutawville

A trunk-or-treat will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at Bell’s Marina. Free entry, candy, activities, music by DJ TK, costume contest, 360 photo booth, wine tasting and food truck.

Holly Hill

The City of Holly Hill trick-or-treat hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween.

Holly Hill First Baptist Church, located at 8455 Old State Road, will hold a community trunk-or-treat at 5:30 p.m. on Halloween.

Livingston

The Town of Livingston has set the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. for trick-or-treating on Halloween.

The Town of Neeses trick-or-treat hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Halloween.

The Town of North will have a trunk-or-treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Drew-Owen Park on Halloween.

The Town of Olar’s trick-or-treat hours are 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

The Town of Norway’s trick-or-treat hours are 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween.

Rowesville

The Town of Rowesville will hold a Boo at The Booth event from 6 to 8 p.m. at the town hall, located at 309 River Drive, on Halloween.

The City of Santee will hold a trunk-or-treat from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at the Santee Town Hall Complex at 194 Municipal Way in Santee. A bounce house, food trucks and other displays will be featured at the event.

The First Baptist Church of Springfield at 3406 Surrey Race will hold a trunk-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween.

St. Matthews

The Town of St. Matthews has set the hours of 4 to 8 p.m. for Halloween trick-or-treating.

Orangeburg County Historical Society

The Orangeburg County Historical Society is hosting a “Spirits of the Past: A Halloween Celebration at Orangeburg’s Pioneer Cemetery” event. The free guided tours through Orangeburg’s history will be conducted through Oct. 31 at the OCHS building, located at 1421 Middleton St. in Orangeburg. The tours will take place each day at times that can be viewed on the OCHS website at https://store.orangeburgh.org/. Tickets are not required but encouraged. Magic in Elloree

A Magical Halloween Show will be presented at the Fusion Mystery Theater located at 2732 Cleveland St. in Elloree. The shows will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or at the box office.
