The National Weather Service now says there’s a “slight risk” of severe thunderstorms on Friday for Bamberg, Calhoun and Orangeburg counties.
That’s an improvement over earlier forecasts, which said there was an “enhanced risk” of severe storms on Friday.
The high temperature is forecast to reach 68. It will breezy, with an east wind of up to 11 mph becoming a south wind of up to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 4 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday.
Strong, gusty winds outside of storms may lead to tree damage and could blow unsecured objects.
The possibiltiy of severe thunderstorms will be highest between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Isolated tornadoes are possible, causing damage to mobile homes, roofs and vehicles. Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible.
Rain will not be as heavy on Friday, with less than 1 inch generally expected. Runoff from Tuesday’s storms will be continuing, causing river flooding, the National Weather Service said.
According to the River Forecast Center, “Though we do not expect this next storm to cause additional significant impacts to the already flooded rivers at this time, we will be keeping a close eye on this system heading into the weekend.”
