The southern portions of Orangeburg County and all of Bamberg County could see severe weather Monday afternoon into Monday night.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a 15 percent to 29 percent chance of severe thunderstorms that could produce damaging winds potentially leading to downed trees and power outages.
Conditions may favor isolated tornado development, according to the NWS.
The NWS says periods of heavy rainfall could also lead to some flash flooding.
The line of potential severe storms primarily includes areas from Orangeburg south. This does not include areas like North and Woodford.
Breezy conditions may follow the storm on Tuesday with wind gusts up to about 30 mph.
Following the passage of the severe weather, skies will clear and temperatures will become seasonal through the workweek with highs in the 60s and lows around 40.

Looking ahead for the next month, forecasts generally call for cooler and wetter conditions than normal for this time of year, according to the NWS’s Climate Prediction Center.
