ORANGEBURG – November is International Awareness Month at South Carolina State University. The Office of International and National Student Exchange Programs has selected the theme “Cultural Proficiency: A Lifelong Goal” for the 2023 celebration.
On Thursday, Nov. 9, SC State conducted its annual Parade of Nations along Geathers Street from the Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium to the Student Plaza.
Led by the Marching 101 Band’s drumline, the parade celebrates the nearly 30 countries represented by SC State international faculty and staff, as well as the 18 countries from which students on F-1 visas hail.
