As Orangeburg prepares for its annual Festival of Roses, officials are announcing some changes.
For instance, Riverside Drive will be closed beginning at 10 a.m. Friday in preparation for the Festival of Roses. The road will re-open after the conclusion of the festival Sunday evening.

Also, registration for the Festival of Roses Bass Tournament has been extended through 5 p.m. Thursday.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, with line-in at 6 a.m. at any S.C. river, lake or pond.
Weigh-in is set for noon to 3 p.m. at the Orangeburg County Fairgrounds. Participants must be inside the official weigh-in area by 3 p.m. sharp — no exceptions. No alcohol is allowed in the immediate weigh-in area.
The tournament for all ages is hosted by the High School Bass Challenge with Tournament Director Tony Gray.

- $125 per two-person team, no third party on boat.
- Open to all ages. Those 16+ are required to have a valid S.C. Department of Natural Resources fishing license.
- Big Fish Pot with 10 spot rule payout.
- Awards for two biggest fish overall.
- Event subject to polygraph.
