Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday and Thursday, which could lead to flash flooding, according to the National Weather Service.
Bamberg, Calhoun and Orangeburg counties could see between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain.
“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations,” the NWS said in a Wednesday briefing.
A flash flood watch is in effect from 2 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday evening.
