Vanilla cookies, strawberry pudding and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are among the foods children will have for Santa to snack on after he delivers their gifts this Christmas.
Everything from dinosaurs to dolls are among their most desired items, with many children also planning to have fun decorating and spending time with family.
Tiller Turner, 6
Turner has a simple Christmas list this year.
“I want Santa Claus to bring me a dinosaur set. That’s about it,” he said.
Turner said he will make sure to leave Santa something to eat for his time while he enjoys his own “hot cocoa and candy canes.”
“We always leave milk and cookies because that’s what people always do. Santa loves cookies and milk,” he said.

Nyla Guess, 3
A colorful toy car and a toy stroller are just a couple of the items Guess has on her wish list.
“I want a pink and purple Barbie car and a new baby doll,” she said.
Guess will have food not just for Santa, but his reindeer, too.
“Santa will have Christmas pudding. It’s going to be strawberry. His reindeers like carrots,” she said, noting that her own pudding will be mixed with candy.
“I also like chicken nuggets with apple juice!” said Guess, who looks forward to opening her gifts this year.
Sadie Nell Gunnells, 3
Gunnells said “a big horsey” is among the things she wants Santa to deliver to her this year.
“I also want a baby boy squishy to play with,” she said, along with a doll baby and a stuffed ladybug toy.
Gunnels said she plans to “play and have fun” during Christmas.
She said she couldn’t tell how Santa was going to get to inside her house because it was a secret, but that she hoped that “he didn’t hurt himself.”
Keegan Martin, 4
Martin didn’t plan on asking Santa for much this Christmas.
“I just want new shoes and a dirt bike. That’s it,” he said.
Martin plans to have steak for Santa to eat for his trouble, as well as milk and water to drink.
His own holiday menu will include vegetables, rice, chicken and fries, he said.
Opening his presents and spending time with his family is what he likes most about Christmas.
“I like spending time with my uncles,” Martin said.
Ozzy Walling, 5
Christmas time may be Walling’s favorite time of year. Why?
“I just want it to be Christmas forever!” she said.
Her wish list for this year is simple.
“I want one of those cameras where you can take pictures,” Walling said, noting that she also wants a blue and purple Barbie car and a stuffed cardinal bird.
She said Santa won’t leave her house on an empty stomach once he has dropped off her gifts.
“He’s going to have cookies and milk,” she said, noting that she will have “vanilla cookies.”
Jairus Tyler, 4
Tyler wants a basketball and toy train for Christmas.
Santa will be treated to some a hearty meal when he arrives at his home, he said.
“He’ll have chicken and turkey legs,” Tyler said.

Anna Jones, 4
Jones is a fan of the dolls that are a part of the multimedia Monster High franchise.
“I want a Monster High doll. I really like their songs that I watch on my grandma’s phone. They’re also on commercials,” she said.
Will she be leaving any food for Santa to eat on his way back to the North Pole?
“Yes! Cookies! Every year we put out chocolate chip cookies and milk. Santa gets cookies, and we also get cookies,” said Jones, noting that Christmas is a favorite time of year for her.
“I like to be with my family and opening presents. I like lots of presents,” she said.
Rosie Phillips, 3
Phillips said she knows Santa will be prepared to fulfill her Christmas wish list.
“I want rings, and I want some toys like a Minnie Mouse. Santa has a lot of things,” she said.
What will she have for Santa to munch on once he arrives at her home?
“Peanut butter and jelly and water. I’m going to have chicken and fries,” she said.

“Snow and flowers,” Phillips said.
Journey Berry, 5
Berry has an array of items she wants Santa to bring her.
“I want a toy laptop, a toy phone, a unicorn, a marble run, a hair set, a cooking set and a toy dog. One time Santa forgot something – it was my Barbie house,” she said.
Berry said her family has been very specific about planning for Santa’s menu.
“We got like 60 cookies at our house. We’ve been saving them for Christmas because we know sometimes Santa be tired, and we have carrots for the reindeer,” she said.
Berry said she and her family will enjoy their own food during Christmas.
“We’re going to be eating marshmallows, and we’re going to have smores. Then we’re going to have candied carrots. The dinner is going to be sweet potatoes and peas. If we eat all of our food, then we get a chocolate chip cookie,” she said.
Berry said she and her sister will also compete in a cookie contest.
“Whoever’s cookies are all eaten wins,” she said.
Aina Inabinet, 4
Inabinet said she realizes she must be a good girl for Santa to bring her some gifts.
“My elf is watching me. An elf on the shelf and an elf on the door!” she said.
Inabinet continued, “Santa’s going to bring me a big doll house that’s golden. I’ll also get a golden Barbie. I’m going to get two presents, or four.”
Santa won’t have to worry about getting any fattening treats at her house, although she will leave out some cookies and milk for him on Christmas day.
“I’m going to eat healthy food like broccoli, peas and corn,” said Inabinet, noting that she may, however, take one of Santa’s cookies for herself.
“I like Christmas because I love decorating my tree, my big one and my little baby one,” she said.
