The City of Orangeburg recently named Jennifer Lisby, payroll/benefits coordinator, and revenue collector, the 2023 Employee of the Year.
Lisby has been with the City for nearly six years and said that she was honored to be chosen as this year’s winner.
Furthermore, Lisby believes that it is important to be professional, have a strong work ethic, and to be committed to the residents of the city.

“I enjoy the daily challenge of learning new things, as you never know what a new day will bring,” she said. “I also enjoy the camaraderie of my coworkers as we are like family.
Lisby has been described as caring, considerate, dependable, and helpful, said Sidney Evering, City Administrator.
“Jennifer helps anywhere she can,” Evering said. “If she doesn’t know something, she will dig until she figures it out. She has a can-do attitude and is always willing to help and learn.”
