BAMBERG — McDonald’s restaurant celebrated its grand opening at 3668 East Railroad Ave the morning of Sept. 12.
The grand opening was filled with a number of activities including a VIP breakfast, tour of the restaurant, a check ceremony, ribbon cutting and the grand opening.
The McDonald’s moved into the former Burger King next to the East Railroad Road shopping center, located off Heritage Highway.
Bamberg City Council granted an easement to McDonald’s USA LLC allowing it to locate to the city.
McDonough, Georgia-based Davies General Contracting is the general contractor for the project.
McDonald’s is the world’s leading food retailer with over 40,000 locations in over 100 countries. The restaurant was founded in 1940 in California and is now headquartered in Chicago.
